Guardian Open Journalism
I’m really interested in the blossoming relationship between journalism and social media. There’s been countless examples how social media has aided reported through the collaboration of the public (e.g. the London riots) but also perhaps the drawbacks such as the distribution of incorrect information, how we verify the news and also how it could potentially turn journalists into being lazier, curating rather than creating.
This new advert from the Guardian is really cool. Telling a time-old fairytale into something a little deeper, showing the flow of information and how news escalates as more information comes to light:
