The title of this blog post has two meanings.
1) I FINALLY made it HOME to Devon after a bit of panic at Paddington having seen my train say ‘cancelled’ on the board the minute before I was meant to board. Not sure why London transport falls to smithereens every bloody Christmas. Last year they’d double booked the seating which meant I had to squat at the back of the train for four hours with a random family and I still don’t think my knees have recovered. Now, I am back home and on the sofa with wine with my family and realising the true meaning of Christmas. For me, it’s reflecting on the year (and it’s been an amazing one) and also showing my family and friends how BRILLIANT they are.
2) I’ve written some secret hotspots for Timeout London which has been posted today. Check it out 🙂
