Announcing…..IRL PANEL

static1.squarespace

I’m VERY EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE that my good friend Laura Jane Williams and I are launching a new project!!!!!

We are launching new kind of panel event hosted by and for women off the Internet.

Yes, that’s right.

It’s called IRL (In Real Life) and trust me, we have some amazing panellists lined up, all incredible interesting women with a very different story to tell. We’ll be talking about all sorts of things across the spectrum of business, tech, lifestyle, media and education.

The idea came about because although the Internet is wonderful, so often it’s just not the same as IRL conversation. Of course it’s not. We post things with a character limit, or a one-sided blog post or a picture that tells a thousand words or a filtered one that hides a thousand words.

We know that social media allows us to connect with awesome people, so why don’t we get everyone in a room all together? Not necessarily to “network” but to TALK, actually, TALK AND DRINK AND have FUN. It’s not a “media event” – i.e. you won’t be forced to recite your LinkedIn profile or wear a badge.

And that room won’t just be any old room, it’ll be hosted at Twitter UK HQ of all places (IKR!)

SO if you’d like to come, just hop on over to: ? irl-panel.com ?!!! To read more about the event and the panellists.
