Don’t Be A Waster. Brita UK + #SwapForGood
I had a really great morning at Spring Restaurant at Somerset house supporting Brita UK’s #SwapForGood campaign. I recorded a live podcast interviewing Lily Cole and Henry Holland to talk about their involvement, tips for living more consciously and statistics about wasted plastic. This campaign is all about raising awareness of the damage that single-use water bottles can do to the environment. We don’t need to drink out of a new plastic bottle every time we are thirsty. It’s a lot of wasted plastic that is harming our lovely planet, especially marine life.
Did you know 7.7 billion single-use plastic water bottles end up in seas and landfill every year. At this rate, they are saying there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish in 2050.
It is horrific. So Henry Holland has created two powerful limited edition slogan t-shirts that will be sold on the House of Holland website from today with profits going to BRITA’s partner charity, Marine Conservation Society (MCS). I love my Brita filter more than life, and now to have one in my handbag there is no excuse for wasting plastic bottles on the go. Small changes, big impact. #SWAPFORGOOD
