London Fashion Weekend with Elizabeth Arden

Sooooo HEY here goes the full blog post giving the lowdown on last Sunday which I spent rolling around Somerset house trying my hardest to be ‘hip’ slash avoid the Fashion police at LFW. Not only was it beautifully sunny and warm, but I made a last minute phonecall to my lovely colleague Hannah who accompanied me to the blogger event hosted by @DanniiBeautyPR at Elizabeth Arden. They were the official beauty sponsor of London Fashion Weekend to try out their new Spring Summer bronzing collection amongst other yummy things.

We met Dannii in the showroom where we tried on vintage sunglasses we could not afford and gawped at the amazing Elizabeth Arden counter where all the girls with flawless skin talked us through the products and a little bit of background about the iconic 8 hour cream and skin benefits you get when using their stuff. It is SO good for you and after my make-over my skin felt so light and airy. They definitely make you look good without having to pile it on which suits me as I’ve always liked the au naturale look. The products that Rhiannon (who was LOVELY) used on my skin were:

  • Colour Intrigue Dual Perfection Browshaper and Eyeliner in Brunette
  • Pure Finish Highlighter in Rose Illumination
  • Ceramide Ultra lipstick in Tulip
  • Prevage
  • Pure Finish Mineral Tinted Moisturiser
  • Pure Finish Soft Radiance Bronzer
  • Colour Intrigue Duo Eyeshadow
  • Ceramide Lash Extending Treatment Mascara

We then watched a beauty master class where Joseph Hernandez was working his magic. Giving us tips such as to buff your skin like you were polishing silver. It makes sure it goes on evenly and you are giving yourself a glow as you do it.

Then, something else happened. Hannah fell in love. We were loitering by the Juicy Couture stand where we were sprayed with the latest Viva La Juicy fragrance by the Juicy Couture male models who were kind of perfect. It’s really lovely perfume so much I may have to purchase….plus another chance to potentially bump into boy-who’s-name-we-don’t-know.

I love this photo:

Then was the catwalk show – front row which gave us a great view. Was amazing and saw a mix of different clothes such as Primrose who do the CUTEST jewelled peter pan collars. Apparently it’s the in-thing to buy them separately and customize with random clothes. Caroline Flack also said wearing tracksuit bottoms with heels was in. Don’t think I could do that. It’s a bit too ‘hungover z-lister’ on the Daily Mail for my liking. But then again, never say never.

We had a great time in the Elle photo booth and did a little interview for the website which was funny. OH and got on the front cover. See our jokes pose below. They asked what the craziest thing we’ve done for fashion. Hannah spoke about saving up for a Naomi Campbell show and mine was that I started this blog and that I went all the way to Morocco for a Louis Vuitton. Even though I obvs tell people it’s real – by this I mean IT’S REAL LEATHER – may have put my foot in it there. Woops.

I just wanted to thank Elizabeth Arden for inviting me and being AMAZING and giving me some great make-up advice as well as goodies that I can’t wait to continue trying out. I think I’m now well and truly hooked.

  1. Such a lovely day! Hoping to do the same in September…. with the hope Mr. Perfect will be there to gawk at all over again 🙂

  2. Hannah says:

So jealous! Out of the four major fashion weeks, London hosts my favorite designers as well as my favorite bloggers and street style (it’s true; the city is flawless). Every event always seems so playful and frivolous. Maybe someday I’ll join you in track suits and heels because although that’s super Britney Spears 1999 it sounds…comfortable.

  3. @emgan says:

You so should! I’m yet to try out the joggers with heels but I think of it as people trying desparately to glam up their home-day outfit if they need to pop out and get milk! Will you be at LDN fashion week in September? I might be doing a blog giveaway for tickets 🙂

  4. Yeah I admit it’s not a trend I’m going to try anytime soon:). And I don’t have plans to be but that would be wonderful! Definitely do a giveaway and I will be participate as soon as you announce it!
