CTRL, ALT, DELETE Podcast: Episode 2 with Zoella

HOORAY it’s time for me to share the second episode of my new podcast with the QUEEN of YouTube: Zoe Sugg aka Zoella

I first discovered Zoe’s blog and YouTube channel in around 2011 and I loved her personality straight away. She was confident, sassy and smart and I just enjoyed having her chatting away in the background while I did my make-up or chilled out in bed on a Sunday night.  In 2012, Zoe posted a video called “Dealing with panic attacks and anxiety” (which now has 3.5 million views) and my respect for her grew and grew.

In my opinion, Zoe is a fascinating 26-year-old #girlboss running her own online empire. She launched her YouTube channel back in 2009 and started connecting with other people and uploading “hauls” anyone who might want to watch it. Fast-forward 7 years later and she has 10 million subscribers, three best-selling GIRL ONLINE books  under her belt and her own range of beauty products and a LOT of awards.

We chatted at her Brighton home about all sorts of things: work, life, switching off, working for yourself and busting the myth of what a “proper job” is. Every time I speak to her I find her inspiring, interesting and incredibly incredibly down-to-earth. Hope you enjoy!

I loved listening to this! I’ve been following Zoe for a little while now and it’s lovely to hear her talk so casually and comfortably about her career with you. You’re so good at interviewing people!

Came to your blog after seeing Zoe’s blog post mentioning your name. Soon glad I found you! 😀

Your podcasts are really good to listen to because you get an insider into celebrity’s lives, and hear what they have to really say about the internet and their experiences on the web. I feel like no other podcasts can offer that, so that is why I enjoy this specific podcast. I found out about this podcast in Shout magazine, along with a recommendation from Zoe. I’ve never listened to podcasts before, but so far, I really enjoy them. I will definitely be sticking around over here!?

Love your podcasts, came across them earlier and already listened to this one and the first with Liz Gilbert.

You are amazing. Can’t wait to listen to more! Nx
